How to setup your YubiKey

1. Have your YubiKeys and device ready

We recommend that you add a spare YubiKey to minimise the risk of being locked out of your account.

For convenience we recommend registering your spare key at the same time as your primary key.

2. Register the YubiKeys with your services and accounts

Register your YubiKeys with the services and accounts you’d like to protect.

You’ll need to register your YubiKeys individually with each service.

Yubico’s “Works with YubiKey” catalogue has a list of compatible services and detailed setup instructions.

Setup instructions will vary slightly from service to service. In some cases, a service will require the use of Yubico Authenticator.

3. Log in with a touch or tap

When logging into an account, you must input your login credentials and use your YubiKey.

If you have multiple YubiKeys added to the account you can use any of them to login.

You’re now ready to use your YubiKey!
